Ice in the birdbath

I went out to fill the bird feeders this morning and noticed ice in the birdbath. It's still really cold here, 32 degrees right now. On Sunday, however, it's supposed to hit 60 degrees....looking forward to that.

As you can see, we still have some leftover snow mostly in the shaded areas of the garden.

Otis and Riley will find whatever little spot of sun they can.

They waited for me.....

while I filled the bird feeders.

Too cold to be outside today.

It sure has been cold here too. As long as I can stay warm and inside I do OK! Good day to make some soup! Mimi

It has been very cold over here too. I hope they are right about the warm up as I still have a bag of hyacinths to plant.
The doggies have the right idea.

Donna, I hear you about the birdbaths freezing! I had to drain the fountain and my birds miss it terribly. I'm thinking of getting a heat ring for the birdbath so the birds will have fresh water all winter. I'm so glad Otis and Riley found some sun :)!

It's been cold for this area. But no snow. When we get it it usually melts almost right away. Stay warm!

It has been very cold. I love the photos of the ice in the birdbath.

My husband wrapped our fountain for the winter. It always makes me a bit sad for the birds, but freezing always kills the pump. I'll have to put water out for our birds.

The light definitely tells me you are on a different latitude from me.;) Ours is more mellow and golden.;))
