Good morning everyone!

Hope you had a nice weekend.

We had a lovely weekend which we spent with family. We also had the most gorgeous weather which seems to be continuing into this week. It's beautiful this morning.

I wanted to show you a painting project that I started and finished a few weeks ago. I painted a small lamp table that was old and scratched and needed some fresh paint. The other project was a vintage tool box (not actually vintage....my husband made it, but I wanted it to look vintage).

The brown table on the right was the way the table looked before.

You can also see the brown tool box before. A coat of primer, first.

Here is the finished table. I painted it red. It now stands in our foyer with a small lamp.

And here is the new old vintage tool box painted a mustard yellow with an undercoating of a colonial blue. I put some nicks and scrapes on it to make it look older.

I'm using it for a garden box.

Both projects were so easy, and once again, paint comes to the rescue.

Enjoy your day wherever you are!

A chest of many colors

There is this chest in the bedroom that has been painted many colors...

It was once deep red, then sage green, and then white.

Guess what color it is now? A warm golden mustard (it's actually called French Mustard). I took out all the drawers last week, put them on the dining room table and started painting. Then I finished the chest right where it was in the bedroom. Very easy.

I love the new color.

That's what I love about paint...it's so easy to change and if you don't like it, you can change it again.
I'm thinking painted flowers on the front of the drawers...that might be nice.

Painting flowers

Flowers ~ old fashioned roses.

I gave this wooden tray (made in hubby's workshop) some hand painted roses. I painted it with shades of brown, tan, olive green, pink, red, yellow and gold. Then I found some handles of brushed gold in the shape of leaves for the two sides.

Voila!

An old look to a new tray!

I'm very fortunate to have a husband with a workshop that is more than happy to make anything for me. He's made a few tables for our living room and the one below is an end table that I've been wanting to paint for some time with flowers on the front insert.

I finally got around to it this week.

(I'm putting the tray in my etsy shop, so it's available, if you'd like to buy it.)
