Early morning beauty in the garden.

 Early this morning as I glanced out the bedroom window I could see a white glistening frost covering the garden.  It was beautiful!  With my cup of coffee and camera in hand I headed outside.

The pansies looked like they were dipped in sugar ready to eat.

Soft, white, and beautiful!

 Sad to say, by noon, it was all gone.

Pretty flowers

 Don't you just love getting flowers?  Whether you pick a bunch up at the grocery store for yourself, or whether someone has given you a bouquet, flowers can lift your spirits and bring beauty to your home.

 What I like to do sometimes is separate the large bouquet into small bouquets....

 and spread them

 all around the house.

Then you can enjoy them in every room!

Old, rusty, and corroded

I find a certain beauty in old, rusty and corroded things. So when I saw this old soap dish at Goodwill recently, I had to have it. I love the design, the two tiers, and the cut-outs in the metal.

Only $1.50 ~ can't beat that for beauty! I'm going to hang it in my laundry.

Beauty of a day

I was on my way out the door this morning to run a few errands and noticed how pretty all the flowers were. Everywhere! Up and down the street.

So I thought that when I returned I would take some photos to show you.

That's Otis watching me from the front door.

My errands always seem to go better with a cup of this.

~~~~~~~~~
Ok, so now let me show you my window boxes, the ones that hubby made for the front windows. I filled them with petunias, begonias, and a few other plants that came back from last year (I'm not sure what they are).
Some of the flowers will eventually drape down over the window boxes.
The azaleas are at their peak and they're quite beautiful this year.
We have two huge bushes at the front of our house and most of our neighbors have them too, so it's very colorful up and down the street.
Just had to show you what a beautiful flower day it was.
Enjoy your day!
Seasonal joy
This is the time of year when the brisk cool air makes us want to stay inside and get cozy. However, when walking in the garden this morning I couldn't help notice how the sun warmed my face and the cool breeze felt invigorating. I realized how much I appreciate this season and the simple beauty of it all...
the morning dew on the geraniums,
and the blue sky reflecting in the birdbath.
The shadows from the morning sun caught my eye.
Of course, the only thing Otis and Riley are thinking about is the squirrel.
Inside, we fluff our nests,
and cozy in for the days ahead.
The seasonal beauty is all around us.
