The mourning dove returns

Yes, she did!  She returned to the ivy hanging plant on the back porch outside the kitchen window.  She's been building her nest the past few days.

Now we can watch her everyday until the baby dove arrive.

Today I am repainting an old bird house that has been outside and is in need of some repair.  A few coats of paint should improve it, and I've decided to paint it all white.

Have a good day!

Early morning beauty in the garden.

Early this morning as I glanced out the bedroom window I could see a white glistening frost covering the garden.  It was beautiful!  With my cup of coffee and camera in hand I headed outside.

The pansies looked like they were dipped in sugar ready to eat.

Soft, white, and beautiful!

Sad to say, by noon, it was all gone.

English Ivy

I like to plant English Ivy in some of my hanging baskets and pots and enjoy the lovely greenery during the winter months.

The cascading vines are beautiful and you can train them into a topiary form.

Ivy

If you have some ivy growing in your garden, dig it up, put it in a pretty pot (this one I got at Goodwill for $1.75) and bring it in the house.

Ivy is a nice plant to use in decorating. It brings greenery and freshness to your room.
