The July garden

Our garden is growing beautifully this year.  I guess it's because of all the rain we've been having here in North Carolina the last few weeks ~ just really hot humid weather.  We are harvesting tons of tomatoes, cucumbers and banana peppers, so much basil we can't eat it all, and it looks like we will have a lot of egg plant.

Loving those fresh tomato, lettuce and mayo sandwiches.

I am planning on canning tomato sauce and dill pickles probably next week.

We are truly enjoying the fruits of our labor!

Have a great day!

Donna, Your garden looks awesome! I pulled a couple of green tomatoes, but not have ripened on the vine yet. Yours are perfect...and ready for a tomato sandwich. Yum! How do you cook your egg plant?

This rain has made for healthy vegetable gardens. I picked my first handful of cherry tomatoes today. The bigger tomatoes are still green. Yours appear to be much further along.
Enjoy your bounty.

You have a beautiful garden. We are probably about a month behind you. But we have eaten some crook neck squash and some basil. Don't you love to can when it's 100 degrees outside? Think cool thoughts! Mimi
