Another marble chaser! Galen finished this one last weekend and I painted it yesterday. I thought blue would be a pretty color since most of the other ones were red. I'm sure another one will be in the works this weekend in the "manspace".

Another bird
I finished painting another birdhouse. A blue one this time.

Happy 100th Birthday, Great Grandma!
Over the weekend we traveled to Pennsylvania to celebrate my husband's great grandma's 100th birthday. Happy 100th Birthday, Great Grandma!
Sunday it was time to travel back home to Carolina. We had breakfast with the family then took our one daugh
ter to the Lancaster Train Station and said goodbye. Our other daughter was staying an extra day to take our granddaughter to the caverns.
Our one daughter came in from New York and our other daughter and family came up from North 
Carolina. Friday night some of us took in a baseball game at the Lancaster Barnstormers and saw fireworks after the game.

tell and still as sharp as a tack! At the village where she lives the annual "Brethren Village Auction and Fair" was being held that day. Galen, my hubby, had donated a marble chaser that he made to be auctioned off (you can check it out on his "manspace"); 
there were also homemade quilts and lots of other goodies to see. Such an enjoyable day!

Purple bird
Today I painted this purple birdhouse. Galen makes these in his woodshop and I paint them. Without a plan, I just start painting. All this one needs is a hook, and it's ready to hang in the garden.

Galen
My husband....what a character he is. He has his woodshop in a small room in the back of our garage. He says this is his "Man Space", since for some reason he feels that I have taken over the house. I don't know where he gets that idea.
He's been making whirligig things for our local Whirligig Festival in the fall ~ marble chasers, weathervanes, birdhouses, signs, candlesticks, pin wheels, and the list goes on. He now has a sign over his "Man Space" which reads "you're not the boss of me". Sometimes I'm allowed in.
