Downtown

Galen and I decided to walk downtown today and do a few errands. It was a bit overcast so we took our umbrella and hoped it wouldn't rain.

A few stops here and a few stops there, stopping by our wonderful hardware store to check out what they had.  You can find just about anything in this place.

The BB&T banks towers.

And a stop by the library to rent a few movies for the weekend and to stop and smell the roses in the rose garden.  Then homeward bound.

And guess what we found at the hardware store?
A globe for our study that lights up, which we will keep on as a night light.
Lovin' it!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Thanks for taking us shopping in your town. It's really pretty..will they have a parade for Memorial Day?
Hope your weekend is great, and the weather good.

Your downtown is picture-book pretty. I'd like to be able to walk to the library, hardware store and bakery. The trouble with rural life is that one has to depend on the automobile.
Thanks for taking us along!

Your downtown looks so quaint and pretty. I'd love to be able to walk into town, but it's too far. We do, however, have a very old hardware store there too. It's always fun to go in there and see what's for sale.
Love your new globe. What a great idea for a night light.

I just love downtown areas when they have that quaint feeling. I'd be walking too. :) Your globe light is neat.
