Part sun, part shade

Our once full sun flower garden off the patio is now part sun, part shade.  The garden seems to be forever changing. I picked up some bright pink Begonias and a Blue Ice plant for that space and will plant it along with the Ajuga, Vinca, Black-eyed-susans, and whatever else is growing there.  This is one bed I have to work on this summer.

As you can see, part sun, part shade.

I've never tried the Blue Ice Bog Andromeda.  Pink flowers in the spring, striking blue tinged foliage, excellent as a ground cover.  We shall see how it grows.  I may even buy more if I like it.
Any suggestions for part sun, part shade?

I have many areas with part sun and shade. These plants do well for me:Those that will tolerate some sun, but like the shade better, Hosta, Astilbe, Daylily, Iris, Huechera,Ferns,Spirea, all the bluebells, Hydrangea and Lilacs. Those that love the sun but will take some shade as well, Coneflowers, daisy, Butterfly bush, roses, peonies, foxglove and delphinium. I am sure I left some out. Our climate is pretty hot and humid in the summer. I am trying out that same Andromeda, (the label says Bog Rosemary). I have put them in a part sun, part shade with lots of moisture. Good luck to us both!

I loved planting impatiens in the shade as they always did well. Your garden is doing so well, Donna! We had snow again today.

Our neighbors cut back some huge trees last fall. All of my shade plants will suffer this summer I'm afraid. You're so right. Always changing. Mimi
