Welcome sun

What a beautiful day it is today and I'm feeling as good as can be expected.

The garden is so lush and green right now.  A couple of days of heavy rain made a big difference.
We have three raised beds in our vegetable garden in the back yard.

This year we planted broccoli, lettuce, onions, red beets, tomatoes, and potatoes.  We also have a strawberry patch, blueberries, and a peach tree.

It's great to walk out to the garden and know you have healthy food right at your fingertips.

Tomorrow I'm off to UNC Cancer Center again for my 4th treatment.  At this point I will be halfway through the chemotherapy.  This last one knocked me down pretty good, so tomorrow could be a doozy.

I'm hanging in there and I want to thank all of you again for your love and support.  I love readying your comments and heartfelt wishes.  It means so much to me.  Thank you for your prayers and I hope you will continue keeping me in your thoughts.

One of my friends who had gone through breast cancer last year said to me, try not to look too far ahead,  but look back and see how far you've come.  I'm keeping that in mind.

Donna, my heart took a leap when I found you here today. You are so much in my thoughts and prayers at all times.

Half way is a big marker. I so wish there was a way I could help make this better for you.

Sending love from me to you.♥

Donna, your garden looks soooo good. I grew up with my Daddy having a garden, but I haven't had much luck on my own. Last time I planted one (vegetables that is) someone came along behind me and sprayed some weeds with poison and killed my entire garden. I have planted four little herbs, and I can't wait to sprinkle them on something when I have a cookout. Good luck this week, and hopefully this treatment won't be as bad as the last.
Love,
Gloria (and Lucy) in Virginia

Hi Donna,
I was so excited to see that you had posted!! I think about you so often and wonder how you are doing.
Your garden looks so lush and beautiful. I have been enjoying lots of lettuce and radishes from mine. We haven't seen the sun yet, but at least the rain has subsided.
I will be praying that your treatment tomorrow will be easier than the last one.
Take Care.

PS: Hugs to Otis & Riley too :)

I'm so glad to see your post and so glad that by this time tomorrow, you'll be half way through your chemo treatments. Your garden looks sooo good. Glad you've gotten rain. I always think rain is so much better for the garden than tap water.:)
Good thoughts and prayers for you tomorrow.
Hugs,

By now it's three days after your most recent go-round. You are in my prayers daily - you've come so far, now. Your friend was very wise with her advice!
That garden - my goodness, but it's beautiful. So lush! We're nowhere near that level of green.
I just read that you're originally from Lancaster County - such beautiful countryside. We lived in Chester County for four years, and I became quite familiar with the back roads of Lancaster County.
Hang in there - you're closer to the end of treatment than you are to the beginning now.
