Oh happy day!

I woke up this morning feeling normal, yes, normal.  What a wonderful feeling!  That first week after chemo gets pretty tough.  But today the sun is shining and the birds are singing and I feel normal and happy.  Thank the Lord!

I guess by now most of you know I have lost all my hair from the chemo.  Wow, what a shock that was.  I didn't think it was going to be so hard, but it was.  Sometimes I feel like an alien from outer space!  I've been wearing pretty scarves, hats, caps, and my wig......very strange though every time I put the wig on, just getting used to wearing it takes some effort and an attitude adjustment.

Tomorrow is Easter and we will be spending the day with family.  I can hardly wait!  Jen, our oldest daughter and her husband are hosting.   A big Easter ham and an Easter egg hunt for the kids....and spending time with my granddaughter.  Happy Day!

Our azaleas are beautiful right now.  Galen took some photos early in the week of our front yard.  Our street is filled with color.  I love this time of year.

I hope everyone has a beautiful day today, and tomorrow, Easter Sunday!

Love you all, and thank you for your prayers and support.  It means everything to me.

Oh, my BEAUTIFUL friend, I am soooo happy to hear that you are feeling good and 'normal'. :D Brings big smiles to my face to know you are enjoying your gorgeous Springtime. :) You look absolutely beautiful in your wig---it looks just like your 'real' hair!!! :) I know from my Mom that they are a pain to learn to get used to wearing, but you do look radiant. Hugs full of love and Happy Easter Blessings to all of you. :)

Hooray for Normal!! It made me so happy today to see a post from you, Donna.
I imagine it was very difficult to lose your hair, but you look adorable.
The azaleas are indeed a beautiful sight. I just cut a big bouquet to use as the centerpiece on my Easter table.
Enjoy every moment of your normal days and have a wonderful Easter with your family.

Saw that the azaleas in Augusta are past their prime. Glad you're enjoying some beauty.

Enjoy Easter.

Glad to see you smiling again!! That is cute style on that wig. Your real hair was longer, right?

You look wonderful, Donna! I have a dear friend who is also going through chemo right now for ovarian cancer. She is so brave -like you! She wears her scarves more than her wig and has even gone out without anything on her head if it is warm out. I am thinking about you and keeping you in my prayers.

I hope you and your family had a very happy Easter!

Donna, I love spring, too. It is my favorite of the seasons. Your azaleas are gorgeous.

Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and say a prayer.♥ I know this must be so hard, but I can tell you that you look beautiful. You must be savoring every one of the feel good moments.
