Spring in the garden, and an update.....

I love spring anywhere, but if I could choose I would always greet it in a garden.
                                         ~Ruth Stout

Hello everyone.  I thought I would give you a brief update as to how I'm feeling.  My chemo treatment went well last week.  The infusion was not bad at all.  However, the side effects are tough to deal with.  It's been a week now and I am just now getting my energy back.  Seems something new crops up everyday but I am doing fine and hoping for a good week before I go back for my second treatment on Thursday.

The back porch and the garden are my healing haven.  The weather has been warm and sunny and we've been having some absolutely gorgeous days.  Spring has sprung here in our neck of the woods and dogwoods and azaleas are blooming all over town.  It's a beautiful time of year!

I want to thank you once again for all your love and support and your kind thoughts and comments during this time.  It means the world to me and keeps me going.  I ask that you keep me in your prayers for this next coming treatment.
Love you all.

I know that my garden has gotten me through a lot of difficult times including the loss of my husband ~ there is just something about God's beauty that lends a healing hand.

I hope that the side effects of the chemo lessen and you feel better. Rest and take care.

Thought of you this evening while speaking with my cousin & her success with alternate cures. So glad you are coping & have such a beautiful garden to retreat.

The garden looks like the perfect place to heal! I had a note from my dear friend, who two years ago called to tell me about her breast cancer. After the chemo and surgery she is doing wonderfully well and on her way to Africa on safari with her husband. I will pray that you will have the same sort of outcome - you have the greatest attitude!

Gardens are truly wonderful, healing places.I always think of the garden plaque saying.. which to me is so true...

"The kiss of the sun for pardon, The song of the birds for mirth, One is nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth."
Love and prayers are coming your way,
Babs

You can add my healing thoughts and prayers to the many who are reading this. When I have had a problem...I always find help among my garden flowers. Just sitting and observing God's beautiful world can bring some calm to our bodies. Take advantage of it right outside your door.
Hugs...Balisha
