Beyond my garden gate...

...the Loropetalum blooms. Cascading branches of rosy pink fringe flowers,

also called "Chinese witch hazel" or "fringe flower", this shrub or small tree will bloom in the spring and sporadically all through the summer.

It's one of my favorite plants in the garden.

Very pretty! All I have growing is weeds. I need to do something about that soon!

This is one of my favorite plants too. They are so dependable and also very pretty. I keep mine pruned but I see that they can make a beautiful small tree...never thought of that!

I told myself last year that I was going to look for this plant. Thanks for the reminder!

Your garden looks like Spring came early. I'm envious!!
I shall look for that plant here, but it might not be hardy enough..?
