A tole waste can...

It may not be old (like the 18th century tole trays and metalware) but it was a bargain. I loved this metal waste can as soon as I saw it! I think it was the china red color and the pretty shape, that caught my eye. And, I've been looking for one for our master bathroom for some time now.

I found it at Big Lots for $5.00. Love a bargain!

Another bargain was this crocheted pillow at GW for $1.29. Even after being laundered, it still kept it's shape and looks nice ~ a pretty antique color.

And, the last bargain I found was another waste can, only this one is wood. $1.39 at GW. And guess what I'm going to do with it? Can't you see.....it's a blank canvas. I'll be painting this one. And I think I may start with black as the base and go from there. Probably flowers.

Gotta love a bargain!

Great bargains, and another project for you.
I love the red waste basket, red is my favourite colour for decor.
Be sure to show us the black one when you complete it.

I'll agree with the group...can't wait to see what you paint on the wood basket....the red one is awfully nice for Big Lots and such a deal...I had to stop going to GW...whoever runs the place by me seems to think it's the Saks Fifth Ave. outlet and they went a little crazy with their prices...

Oh Donna!!! I have the EXACT same pillow, how serendipitous is that!;) It is tossed over my bed covers and I bought in Durham, NC, so I guess that would make sense.;)) This was fun and a second time we have the same things, last time it was the Christmas ornament.;)
Love all the other items as well.;)
