Usually, we like to have amaryllis blooming over the Christmas holiday, but since I only planted this one after the holiday I get to enjoy the beautiful red blooms now.
During the gray days of February, it's beauty is a delight to behold!
I give my son and grandson an amaryllis bulb every year prior to Thanksgiving. Their bulb was a late bloomer this year. It didn't bloom until well into January, but it was gorgeous, too.
Just beautiful!! I planted one in January and it now has 2 plump buds. I am eagerly waiting for them to open. I almost think they're nicer now when things aren't so hectic. More time to thoroughly appreciate their beauty.

What a pretty shade of red! It is wonderful to see live blooms in winter. I have been enjoying the African violets on my wndowsill.
How beautiful and really much nicer now when winter is at it's peak...enjoy!
Just gorgeous and truly one of my favorite flowers. I have them all over my house at Christmas.
