The orange daylily

sometimes referred to as the common lily,
is an old time favorite of mine.

It reminds me of my grandma.......
visits to her house,
and picking these along side the road
when we would walk to her mail box.

Even though the blooms only last a day,
I still pick a bouquet and bring them inside to enjoy.

I was inspired to paint the daylily.

Bright orange and very cheery!

It's painted on wood, 6-1/2 x 7, acrylic paint.
