Crape Myrtle

The crape myrtle trees are beautiful this time of year.

These trees are very fast growers,

and the blooms last from summer through fall.

They thrive in warm climates and are very plentiful here in the south.

You see them everywhere you look ~ in front yards, along the streets, in front of businesses, in the down town, in the parks, in gardens, and along the highways.

This one sprouted all by itself several years ago on our front lawn next to the driveway. It seemed to be at a perfect spot so we left it grow. It now stands about 18 feet tall and it's beautiful.

Enjoy your day!

They are beautiful and I consider them to be one of my favorite things about living in the south.
Your photo with the blue sky in the background is so pretty.

I have about five in my side/backyard that are probably 30 feet high. Of course their lovely blooms are falling right into my pond.

Your Crape Myrtles are so beautiful! I wish they would grow here but I think our winters are too harsh.
