Foxglove and peaches

Foxglove are a favorite of mine and I bought and planted some last year but they didn't bloom. This year they bloomed and are absolutely beautiful. They remind me of the English cottage gardens which I love. And the nice thing is they will spread, so I'm looking forward to having a lot more.

Peaches
Another favorite of mine.

I've always wanted fruit trees ~ so this year dear hubby was kind enough to cut down an old evergreen in the back yard that was actually shading the garden, and plant a peach tree for me.

We picked one up at the local garden center.

He planted it where the evergreen was. It will have plenty of room and get lots of sunshine, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

And it even has little peaches growing already! What a treat!

And speaking of treats.......Otis and Riley wait with eager eyes and a wagging tail.

Enjoy your day!

Your foxgloves are very pretty. We planted a peach tree a few years ago. It seems like every time the peaches are about ready to be picked something (I suspect a squirrel) gets to them before we do. I find a partially eaten peach or just the pit on the ground. Grrrr... I hope you have better luck.

I love foxgloves!! They are the perfect cottage flower. I haven't grown peaches but I have grown nectarines. I just had those removed. Hopefully, you'll have better luck with your peaches!

Aren't peaches great?
The foxglove is lovely. I've never had luck growing it though. Do the hummingbirds enjoy it?

This is very exciting. Here in Scandinavia we can not grow peaches, it is too cold, but we grow them in central Europe where I am from.
Have a lovely Friday,

Your foxgloves are gorgeous. I have one coming back from last year along with some seedlings - firt time ever - and I hope to have at least 1 bloom this year. Peaches are a favorite also, can't wait for the farmer's market to have them. Have a great weekend.

I like foxgloves too. I wish you luck with your peach tree, the fact it already has fruit is a good sign. It should do well in your climate. Have a lovely weekend..

Oh my those Foxgloves are GORGEOUS! I planted one last year, and it actually has buds on it this year. Looking at yours, I'm wondering if mine may be in TOO much shade. Enjoy your peaches AND those darling pups!! :)
