Sunshine in the garden

The warm weather and sunshine called for an outside day today.

In the garden.

Planting is one of my great amusements.
                                    ~Thomas Jefferson

Early spring plantings include onions, peas, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, lettuce, radishes, and potatoes, to name a few.  (I didn't plant all these...just thought I'd let you know.)

I've planted some red onions, white onions and yellow onions.  They're growing nicely.  I've also put in sweet peas and lettuce.

Herbs ~  chives, garlic, parsley and rosemary.  One can never have enough herbs.  I'll be planting basil, oregano, cilantro, and thyme later.

And look.........a strawberry blossom peeking up through the leaves in the strawberry patch!

Oh what a joy spending the day in the garden.

This beautiful weather has kept me outside today too. Your garden seems to be coming along nicely. It looks like your pup has given new meaning to a garden "bed".

Happy gardening.

Hi Donna, looks like you and the little ones are enjoying working outside. The weather has been so nice here in NY as well, I've been taking lots of walks.

The weather here was beautiful yesterday-it would have been a great day for gardening! It is gray here today though and we are expecting rain. Love which ever one of your puppies that is in the raised bed! He certainly loved the sun and garden too!

Oh seeing Otis and Riley keeps my longing for my 'boys' so fresh---they are just so adorable! I am loving and enjoying my two new furbabies, but my heart will always belong to those black and tan boys. I love your raised garden beds. I must get me some started. :) So glad you had a beautiful day outside---we had another grey, wet day here in northeast TN.

You are reminding me that I have to get busy in the garden! Time to plant some root veggies. Still too cold around here to plant much else.

Is that Riley or Otis planting himself in your garden bed? HA! Maisie does the exact same thing. Usually on top of whatever seeds I just put in!

I keep saying I need to make myself some raised planter beds. That will definitely be a goal of mine for next year!

Strawberries blooming already, yummy!
