Decorating again

I'm in the bedroom today doing a little bit of rearranging and fluffing. I had the urge to hang some new pictures and put some new pillows on the bed.

This room faces north east so there's not a lot of sunshine in here during the day, however it does get the early morning sun.

That's why I like to use warm colors.

My daughter made a dream pillow for me filled with herbs like lavender, chamomile and lemon balm....all those wonderful fragrant herbs that are so calming. It's kept right beside my bed.

I brought in this picture that my brother painted. I like the colors and the old look that it has about it.

Do you keep the jewelry that you wear everyday or most frequently out on your bureau so that it's easily accessible? I think my pile is getting out of hand. A little organization needed here.

A warm golden quilted throw for the bed.

That should do it.

How charming and I love the painting. I wear the same jewelry every day so I guess I don't have any to organize!

Wow Donna, two talented painters in one family! The painting your brother did is beautiful.

Speaking of painting, I took my sister her gift tonight and she just cried and cried. She said she had a particularly hard day at work, and she was thinking about Babes. She couldn't get over the likeness you captured of her beloved cat. Thank you so much Donna. You certainly made her day! I think she may frame the card you sent along with it and put it on her desk at work. I'd love to buy some note cards with the picture of Jake you painted for me. Let me know if that would be possible.

Thank you again for both of the beautiful paintings you did for us. They are treasures for both Kim and I.

Yes....we both keep our jewelry out & yes...it's time to re-organize and put some things back (to start all over again, of course!!)

Hi Donna....my favorite thing about this room....the hat and bag you have hanging...it reminds me of summer and right now with all our cold...I could use summer....and after the deodorant incident I hate to think where I might put the sun tan oil?

Your bedroom has a nice glow to it Donna. Your brother's peaceful painting goes well in the room.

I have a few large shells on my dresser that holds my favorite everyday jewelry pieces. It makes it easy to move them when I dust or want to declutter for company.

Hugs, Pat

LOVE your bedroom! The colors are warm and achieve your intended look. Of course I keep my most worn jewelery in a heap close by. Mine get out of hand also which means it's time to put some of it away.
