This is something I've always done. Thought it might be worth sharing.
After painting a room, pour some of the paint in a glass jar. Mark the lid with the color and the room you painted. Then, if you ever need to touch up some small nicks or scratches, it's very easy to just open the jar and put a dab of paint wherever you need it.

Why didn't I think of that??????? Great Idea!! Thanks Donna!hughugs
That's a great idea. I will have to remember it next time I paint.
What a great tip! Thank you!
WOW, what a fantastic idea!! Donna you are a genius! That would make it so much easier. Thanks!
Hi Donna
All these years and many houses and I've never thought of that! Brilliant! Thanks for the tip.

Hi Donna and Happy New Year!...this is a great tip...how often does it happen that you do need to do a little touch up and who wants to open up a whole can...
This is such an excellent idea. We keep our old paint in the original cans. Takes up so much space, it's dirty, it's messy. I'm going to try this for sure. Mimi
That is truly a great tip.;) I know I have once tried to find the right colour of a paint and could not.;) This is much better than blending a new paint years after.;)
Hope your weekend is lovely,
xo

Donna, this is an awesome idea. We hate to paint over here and honestly, if there is a little scratch on the wall, it is such a pain to go down to the basement to lug the big paint cans upstairs just to fix something little. this is such a super idea.

That's a great tip to share. I've always done this with my glazes for wall finishes too. In fact, I had to touch up three places on my living room wall yesterday while taking down my Christmas decorations.

Cathie
That is BRILLIANT!
Popping in to say Hi!
Now what did I do with that leftover can of paint? It's probably lost already in our messy garage ... that's a whole other problem that needs solving. I think maybe we should move! HA!
FANTASTIC idea! I'm just getting ready to paint my son's bedroom ... I shall use this tip and think of you! Like I said - - inspiring! :)
