A Cup of Tea
When the world is all at odds
And the mind is all at sea
Then cease the useless tedium
And brew a cup of tea.
There is magic in its fragrance,
There is solace in its taste;
And the laden moments vanish
Somehow into space.
And the world becomes a lovely thing!
There's beauty as you'll see;
All because you briefly stopped
To brew a cup of tea.
Tea helps our head and heart.
Tea medicates most every part.
Tea rejuvenates the very old.
Tea warms the hands of those who're cold.

I may be a big coffee drinker, but I do enjoy a good cup of tea now and then.
The tea cup that I painted, I made into note cards. Find them on my etsy shop.

Donna - perfect timing. I just brewed a cup of tea, sat down here and poof, there was your poem. I do love tea in the afternoon and always put it in a pretty mug or cup and saucer.
I do love coffee too though but think of it as mostly a morning drink.
I am more of a coffee drinker too. Yesterday I heard a nutritionist on Martha Stewart's show talking about the numerous health benefits in green tea and so now I plan to make it a point to drink it more often.
Love your tea cup.
I drink coffee every morning, but I always have tea in the afternoon. I just finished my cup and came to visit. What a lovely poem. Your painting is so sweet.

Penny
ADORABLE cup... could I please have cafe creme in it?
Donna, what a cute teacup! I'm only a tea drinker (I'm allergic to coffee). Keep up the wonderful painting!!
Hi Donna
I am a tea drinker and I love your tea cup painting. I think I'll go and put the kettle on and make some tea right now.
Hugs, Rhondi
Adorable teacup. Perfect on a card. Cute poem too. Mimi
Beautiful painting! I agree with you, although I love coffee and drink that on daily bases, sometimes a cup of wonderfully scented tea is just heavenly.
Have a lovely Friday,

HI DONNA....I AM NOT A COFFEE DRINKER BUT I DO LOVE MY TEA...BOTH HOT AND COLD...I MUST DRINK 2 GALLONS OF IT A WEEK...YOUR DRAWING AS USUAL IS ADORABLE...
Hi Donna, I never could get into coffee, love the smell, the taste however, I cannot stomach. I'm a tea drinker myself, it's my favorite beverage. No matter how hot it is outside, I still love my tea piping hot.
Your teacup cards are gorgeous. Tea drinkers everywhere will just love them.
