December

This is the December page that I turned over on my Old Farmer's Almanac calendar this morning.

Hard to believe it's December already!

This is the month of Winter Solstice, the First day of Chanukah, Christmas Day, a full cold moon on the 2nd, and a full long nights moon on the 31st.

Tips for December:

Potted evergreens make terrific decorations for the winter holidays and look wonderful draped with other natural materials.

Dress up gift jars of homemade jam and other canned goods by covering the lid with a piece of pretty calico fabric cinched with a bright ribbon.

Enjoy your first day of December!

I have heard it is good luck to keep an almanac in your bathroom--and maybe you have the time to read it, too!
