A tribute to my father-in-law

As sunny, warm and beautiful this spring day is today, it brings with it some sadness for our family. We got word early this morning that my father-in-law passed away. Even though we knew how serious things were, it's now a bit hard to accept the realization that it's happened. Death is so final.

He was a good man. A giving and caring man. He had a sense of humor and a very strong faith which carried him through hard times. He had a love for music and travel.

It will seem strange going back home and not having him around. How life can change in an instant.

We will be travelling to PA this weekend to make arrangements and be with the family.
He will be greatly missed.

Oh Donna, I'm so sorry. I don't think our human nature is ever 'ready' to let those we love leave our reach forever. It's just tough, any way you cut it. I will keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Donna, I feel terrible that I am so late reading this sad news. Your father-in-law sounds like such a special man. It must have meant so much to him to have you in his life.

I believe he is listening to the sweetest music of all now.

God bless you and your family.

My deepest sympathy to you and your husband and family, Donna. I lost my Dad many years ago in the month of March. Every Spring since is a reminder to me that when we lose a loved one here on earth there will someday be a beautiful rebirth and reuniting in heaven.
