More rain to come

With all the rain we've been getting and more in the forecast for the next week, it's been a good time for reading. I finally finished Maeve Binchy's "Evening Class" which was a delightful book, and "Good Dog, Stay" by Anna Quindlen, a really heartwarming story. Now I'm reading "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch.

I took Otis and Riley for a walk this morning hoping the rain would hold off until we got home, and it did. They had such a good time running around and sniffing everything in sight. Their energy level is unbelievable!

I've decided the next painting I want to do is a painting of our house. I'm hoping to get started today, however, right now, the inspiration is not flowing, the blank canvas just seems to be sitting there staring me in the face. Hmmmmm.

A bit of sunshine in between the clouds is a wonderful thing. It calls for a cup of coffee and a short break on the patio to listen to the birds and soak up some of the bright rays. A simple pleasure.

I might even get to do some gardening today. The weeds are popping up from all the rain and the grass needs mowed. If the sun stays out a little longer, that's what I'll be doing.

Hope everyone has a good weekend!

Hey Donna, I love your sweet little pups..as always, they are so cute.

I hate it when the inspiration isn't flowing...I've been in such a creative rut over the last few weeks..one of my "I hate art" modes that I get into every once in a while. ARGH...please send some of your inspiration my way. : )

Enjoy all your reading, I find it relaxing as well and I've been doing a lot of it also.

Stay dry in all your rain.

Otis and Riley are so cute. Some days I like my dogs more than my kids! Have a great weekend. I hope you get a little sunshine. Mimi

Hi Donna,
I don't know if it was the rain or not, but we were without power from 10AM to 5PM yesterday.

I know what you mean about inspiration coming and going....I have been itching to get back to breaking some serious plates after a kind of hiatus.

Donna, The rain is supposed to clear out sometime tomorrow here. All this rain makes me sleepy and I can't get any painting done either! Can't wait to see your painting of your house!

Hi Donna,
I can't wait to see the painting of your house. I have some projects ahead of me, but I was in search of inspiration yesterday. So, I took a ride to explore. Otis and Riley are the cutest. The rain finally came today, and my two dogs didn't want to go outside. It's a good think that they don't live in Seattle. Have a wonderful day with the Creative Muse on your shoulder. Karen

I think you must be getting more rain than we are. We had three days this past week of all cloudiness but no rain and today is 95 degrees and so humid it takes your breath away. Ugh! I had hoped we could prune the bushes at the front of the house but it's just too miserable to work outside. I haven't read a book in so long.
