So what I did was paint a small canvas with a creamy colored paint.
Next, I mod podged the recipe on to the canvas, and put several coats on top, left it dry, and that's it ~ a little piece of art!
Now I have her cookie recipe displayed where I can look at it often, and remember what a sweet lady she was.

What a wonderful way to save and enjoy a family recipe! I am going to borrow that idea Donna. Thanks!

That is a fantastic way to preserve a treasured recipe Donna. Love it. I love your tag too. Fun to get to know a little more about you.
Your craft project turned out great...I love the idea!
Donna, I love that idea. I hope you don't mind if I use that for one of our family recipes.
I see we both love broiled scallops. Yum!
Absolutely loved what you did with your recipe. My Mom is a fabulous cook but my very favorite thing she makes is her cornbread dressing. I could never duplicate it so the last time she stayed with me for Thanksgiving we made it step by step her way and I finally got it right but you know what? I am going to ask her to write it down in her very own hand writing so I can preserve it the way you did. Thank you Donna!
Those handwritten recipes grow more precious as the years go by. I love what you have done to preserve yours. I think I will have to give that a try.
Thanks for your recent visit and kind comments.
Hugs,
Kim

Donna what a lovely reminder of your grandmother and BTW we have much in common reading through all your
"things about you!"
I'll pass on being tagged as I just returned from a month long trip to Europe and this blogging brain needs a rest..I'm sure you understand!

I love that idea. I had a special relationship with my grandma too. I have some of her recipes in her handwriting. I was going to frame some but this is a better idea. Mimi
I love your recipe art! What a great idea :)
I love this idea! What a sweet way of preserving a recipe and to also have a loving reminder of your grandmother. My grandmother's handwriting was very similar to yours.
Cool facts! I LOVE Coconut Cream Pie, too. Guess I watched too many episodes of Gilligan's Island - how about you?
