This is lovely Donna..! We see them more in the Spring and Fall. I haven't seem one here for weeks. Perhaps they go further north in the Summer. Lots and lots of rain here, the wettest summer on record. Hope you are well...?
Hi Donna! Your painting is beautiful! I thought it was a photo at first. I so admire your painting abilities. The cardinal is the Ohio bird also, I love watching them. There was a little tiny one this spring, the first time I've seen a young one. How adorable! Have a great weekend! Hugs, Sherry
Cardinals are so striking. I love the coloring on the females as well ..... how their beaks stand out against the grey brown of their heads and their subtle coloring through their feathers. I always feel blessed when they visit the ground underneath our feeders.
