Home and Garden Show

The annual Southern Home and Garden Show was held on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the fairgrounds. It's quite a big event and is spread out in three huge buildings. I went with my sister, my daughter and my daughter's mother-in-law. We try to go every year. We got there early because there is one vendor we love to visit which is an interior decorating booth that has fabulous accessories from the High Point furniture area, and it's a "first come, first serve" basis.

I was too busy shopping and forgot about taking pictures. I did manage to get two. You can visit my daughter's site sunnispace and click on "sunniviews" to see more photos.

These are the treasures I found. A beautiful old serving plate made in England. I fell in love with the colors.

A pretty heart with ribbon flowers, and embellished with sparkly gold and pearls.

And last, but not least, a little porcelain handpainted teapot that stands about 3-1/2 inches tall.

We had a great day, and after being on our feet for hours, we treated ourselves to a nice dinner and a glass of wine at a wonderful Italian restaurant.

Hi Donna The treasures you got are great. I especially like the heart. Sounds like fun day. Since we've had so much rain they have eased our water restrictions and we can water our lawns once a week on Saturday. Hurrah!!
Hope you are ahving a great day.

I love Home and Garden shows!! They give me inspiration just when I need it the most!

I had a busy day on my feet as well.....spending money on linens! Hubby and I celebrated by having a grilled burger at our favorite grill and a Sam Adams on tap.....yummm!
