Sloshing in the rain

Otis and Riley are outside today wading around in the puddles. Our back yard looks like a lake!




Sloshing around in the rain....



and I'm sloshing around in my garden clogs.





We've had 7-1/2 plus inches so far since Sunday. Still raining....




and more rain tomorrow.





I was happy to see the daisies blooming. A bright little spot in this gray day.

I think that folks should carry bright umbrellas in the rain...

to smile into the sullen sky and make it glad again.

Rain!

We got some much needed rain today. It was the kind of gray day to stay inside and get some things done, which I did. I organized the desk, did some paperwork, gave Otis and Riley a bath, and did three loads of laundry. I also went outside and took some photos.

Overflowing bird bath. The birds were really chirpy today, more than usual, and the hummers were flitting around the feeder all day.

My dry and wilted flowers have once again perked up!

Everything is lush and green again.

Happy, happy, happy

I'm so happy I could dance! We got high speed internet today and I feel like I'm on top of the world. I didn't realize how much time I had been wasting with dial up. I could actually do a load of wash by the time my photos uploaded, not to mention the countless times I was disconnected and then had to try to reconnect. It was one of those things we just put off, thinking we were fine, until recently when I started pulling my hair out and losing my sanity ~ then we new it was time, and how simple it was to connect. If I had known how easy, I would have done it a long time ago. Well, here's to high speed internet!
