Summer days

Here we are, mid August already, and suddenly I'm finding myself wanting to hang on to summer with all my might.  How about you?  Maybe it's this unseasonably cool weather we've been having here in the south ~ gray days, and to top it off...a lot of rain.

Please stay, summer!  Send warm days, blue skies, and bright sunshine. I'm just not ready to let you go.

Enjoy your week, everyone!

I'm still holding on to everything that summer brings. The beautiful gardens, green grass, summer food, summer clothes...etc. I'm not wanting it to end either. I heard some cicadas this morning and that means things are changing. Let's hope for a nice fall.
Everything looks wonderful at your house.

Oh how I would love some rain, and so would the garden, here it has been hot and dry...maybe you could send us a bit. Right now fall is looking pretty good.

Such a lovely garden, complete with little Otis posing by the planter! It has been a strange summer here too, lots of cooler days and rainy days. Still, its kept everything green!

Donna,
I enlarged your photos and enjoyed my stroll through your beautiful gardens. You have shared the best of summertime... flowers, birdbaths, vine-ripened tomatoes and, best of all, a comfy place to enjoy it from and a best friend to enjoy it with.
After many rainy days we are now enjoying a glorious sunny day with low humidity. Hooray!!

There are already leaves falling around Pondside - the result of drought, not cool weather, but unwelcome, nevertheless! I love all the lazy summer views of your place.
