Mom's pumpkin pie

Mmmmm, right out of the oven.....

I've been baking Mom's pumpkin pie recipe as long as I can remember.  In fact, I probably wrote this recipe card when I was first married.

My mother loved to bake, so this time of year I pull out all of her pies and cakes and cookie recipes.
I love the aroma that fills the house.

This pumpkin pie won't last very long, that's for sure!

I can allmost smell it. I would imagine that your Mom made her pie with Libby's canned pumpkin. My Mom used this brand all of her life and I do today. Enjoy!

I'm back...just looked at your post again and noticed the card. A kitchen witch is in the corner. We used to have a little crafts business and one of my friends made so much money on her kitchen witches. They were little cloth figures that hung in all of our kitchens. They were to ward off bad spirits and bring good luck to the home. If you hung one in your kitchen, you would not have failures in your cooking. Everything was kitchen witch at that time. They were so cute.

Old family recipes are the best. Enjoy it while it's still warm with a good cup of coffee.

It sure does look good! There's something extra special about recipes from mom.
Your recipe card brought back memories. I think I had the same ones and I also remember receiving several kitchen witches as wedding shower gifts.
