Three weeks down, three to go....

I'm halfway through!
Tomorrow I will start my fourth week of radiation.  It seems to be moving along pretty fast.  The radiation itself only takes about ten minutes.  I started getting a little bit of a burn on my skin and some swelling under my arms but everything is normal so far.
Galen and I are trying to make the best of the long trip to and from the hospital.  We usually stop at Starbucks in the morning for coffee and occasionally a breakfast sandwich, and after my radiation we might visit my sister in Chapel Hill, or we might stop somewhere for lunch.  We occasionally will go to the mall bookstore and relax with a good book and a cup of coffee.

Soon this will be over and I will look back and realize what a really long journey this has been,

and I might even be amazed how I ever got through it.

I am happy that you only have 3 more weeks! I know it has been a very long journey. You are one of the strongest women that I know Donna. I am awed by you.

I'm so happy it's half-way over for you. You're being so brave and doing so well. Over here I do think of you and am sending you strength. It's really nice for me that you post updates and I know you're ok. Yay for Sbux in every community. Here, in Vancouver, we have at least 6 within a one mile radius! In Oxfordshire there are two in Oxford and none anywhere else :( So nice to buy one of their special $5 drinks as a treat, but in OXON they cost 5GBP and that's about $7.50!. I'm completely addicted to the chai lattes, (I know, I'm bad), so am glad I can't have one every day when I'm in E. Much love and strength to you my FB and blog friend. :)

You're almost there! My friend Brenda has just completed her eighth chemo treatment and has four to go. She'll finish on Christmas week.
This morning I wrapped two books for you - they'll go on a slow boat down the coast later today (or at least that's how I imagine our slow postal service!)
