Good Morning, Everyone.....

I woke up early this morning, poured myself a cup of hot coffee and walked outside on the back porch.  What a lovely morning.
The trumpet vine is so heavy with blossoms they are hanging way down over the pergola.  The hummingbirds love the sweet nectar and I love watching the hummingbirds.

I am feeling really well since my last chemo treatment.  My very last chemo treatment, by the way (forever and ever)!
I still have a bit of neuropathy from the chemo but that will eventually go away.  My energy is slowing returning.  My appetite is back.  I really have no complaints.
Surgery is next, and that is scheduled for August 20.  I am very anxious about surgery.  Every time I think about it I have to take deep breaths and tell myself everything is going to be fine.  I've made it this far and I can surely make it through surgery.
After surgery, then comes six weeks of radiation, every day, Monday thru Friday.  I've heard that radiation is not all that bad.

The end is in sight.

I've been spending time in the garden and reading lots of books while my body heals.

Oh, and one more thing.  My hair is finally starting to grow back!  Yea!

Thank God for small miracles.

And thank you, my dear friends, again, for all your thoughts and prayers.
I know they are helping me.  I love you all.

Your trumpet vines are beautiful Donna. I will have to remember to plant those when we get our next house.

So happy you are feeling better and your hair is growing back! Keep taking those deep breathes. Think positive thoughts - I am sending calmness your way.
Hugs,
Penny

Just checking in to see how you are this morning. I love the trumpet vines. I had trouble getting one started...no one could believe me as they grow rampant usually. I finally gave up.Your picture makes me want to try again.
Have you ever done yoga? I do a very simple yoga for older people using a chair... and find it so relaxing. It might help before your surgery.
Wishing you a beautiful day.

You have such a beautiful garden! I love trumpet vines too and in our last house we had a red one. So happy that you can see the light at the end of the tunnell. You can do it! A year from today you'll look back and be so happy that it's over! Love and peace to you. Mimi

I'm so happy that you're feeling better and your hair is growing back. Yay! Your trumpet vine is gorgeous. I have one, but it hasn't bloomed. It's in a huge pot, so don't know if that makes a difference. I want to put it in the ground, but haven't found the perfect place. Thanks for letting us know how you're progressing. Sending hugs and good thoughts,
Babs

Hi Donna,

I am so happy that you are feeling well and that you had your LAST chemo. Your hair might grow back even thicker, like my friend Judy.

I am marking my calendar so that I can say prayers on the day you have surgery.

Have a lovely evening. Your garden looks amazing.
