Thankful for the little things....

.....like this mourning dove that is building a nest in the hanging ivy pot outside my kitchen window.  I was thrilled this morning when I saw the two of them,

fluffing their nest.

What a joy it will be to watch them every day as I embark on my journey in fighting my cancer.

It's the little things that make us happy.

And I want to thank each and every one of you for your encouraging words and your thoughts and prayers.   I was overwhelmed with emotion when I read them.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

What a beautiful gift those sweet birds are and a reminder of how the Lord cares for the littlest of creatures. How much more must he care for us? I will keep you in prayer as you navigate this bump in the road. Patty

Wow! The dove is beautiful. What a blessing to view them outside your window every day. That is so special. I suspect the doves will be a joyful sight each day as you go through your healing process.

I think it's true that the little things sometimes help us get through the big things in life.
How sweet of that little mourning dove to build his home right there for you to enjoy.
Whenever I see a mourning dove I think of you.

Donna, Your sweet doves remind me of the verse in Psalms 91:4 that says that God will cover you with his feathers and His wings will be a shield for you.

Girl, are you already hanging baskets? ;) You go! I am way behind the times here at Ships Landing. I really must get off my duff and get with the program. :) Aren't the birds just thrilling, especially at this time of year. The Tree Swallows have come home for the Spring and I am having a love affair with them all over again. :) Sending quilted hugs and love to wrap you in, my dear dear friend.

Dear Donna, I know so what you mean, at certain time in our lives, when we are troubled, we find joy in the small miracles just outside our doorsteps.;)
Many hugs to you<3

So true Donna and it is the little things that seem to mean so much in life.

I know you will do well...we are so fortunate, when you think about it, to live in a day and age when an illness can be diagnosed and treated so effectively, we have so many medical advances to be grateful for today.

Chin up and keep enjoying the beauty all around you.
