Christmas is over....

.....and all of the decorations have been tucked away in the attic for another year here at Mourning Dove Cottage.  I hope all of you had a wonderful holiday.

I'm ready for spring now!  How about you?  Well, it's a nice thought, anyway.  I have been cleaning and rearranging the house and bringing in a few fresh new things.

Over the holiday I received a package in the mail.  I love getting packages in the mail!  It was from Deb at Posted-From-Home.  I was the lucky winner of her wonderful give-away a few weeks ago.  Her blog is a lovely place to visit ~ a house of love and spirit and creativity.

The wrapping was tied with a cute "Christmas Wishes" tag, including a lovely hand written greeting card, and a glittery post card with a bird.

She made this salt/flour bird ornament with the December 25th tag. Love it!

And....this handmade "mug hug" (below) which is perfect for keeping my cup of coffee warm during the next few months of cold weather.

It's already hugging my cup of coffee and keeping it nice and warm.  Thank you, Deb, for these wonderful gifts!

This week will soon be over and a new year will be upon us.

I hope all of you have a safe and very happy new year!

Lovely gifts, Donna! :) Tomorrow is our 18th wedding anniversary, so I have that 'holiday' and then New Year's Eve, so Holiday decorations are still in place, for now. :) Happy New Year! Hugs!

I shall spend my new year's eve right here with the dogs. Where it's warm and safe and calm.

What a sweet little mug mitt that is!
I will leave Christmas up around the house until the 12th day of Christmas, as my mother did - then it'll be a BIG clean up!

That Mug Hug, is the cutest thing!

I am taking down my decorations today. We had company since Christmas and they just left. So the house is quiet and I am looking forward to putting away Christmas until next year.
Hugs,
Penny

That Mug Hug is adorable Donna...doesn't your coffee look cute now! I can't believe your decorations are all put away right now ~ Karrie JUST finished decorating her house on Monday :) lol! This is the week that we get to enjoy our decorations, so I'll be starting to put mine away in a week or so, but I love that time ~ cleaning the house...then on to getting it organized for the new year!

Happy New Year, Donna!

Just dropping back to wish you all the best for the year to come. I also wanted you to know that I thought of you on Christmas when we used the cute red tray your husband made. And I have my little bird magnets on the fridge.

I've been computerless for weeks, so I am thrilled to be back online.

Again, all the best for 2012!

XO,

Sheila :-)

I envy you for having your Christmas decor tucked away. Mine is still waiting to be tucked. However, I am ready for order to be restored.
Congratulations on your win. The mug hug is adorable.

I love your give away win, especially the cup cozy, so cute. Let me know if you think it really works at insulating.
