A vintage suitcase

Don't you just love old suitcases? They take you back in time to a different era, a different place and doesn't it make you wonder who that person was that owned that suitcase and how far they travelled and places they been. I've had this vintage suitcase so long I don't even remember where it came from, but I've always wondered about those initials carved on the top....

Well, I've made good use of my vintage suitcase and because of the lack of storage here at Mourning Dove Cottage I use it to hold our winter gloves and scarves. It doesn't take up much room and it's perfect for those things you only get out once a year.

Do you have vintage suitcases? What do you keep in yours?

I don't have any, but I love the various ways that they can be used and they can be so decorative too! Have a great day.(-:

I don't have any, but I have always loved photos of them stacked as end tables...

I don't have any but I love how people decorate with them! My daughter decoupages things on them for people, things that pertain to their life and sells them.

My son uses mine for newspapers with important headlines. I love them stacked, but with one that's hard to do.

I love my suitcases too. I own a dozen of them. I have mostly fabric and seasonal clothes stored in them. I have 2 special ones that belonged to my FIL.

I love old suitcases too. I have several. I put bun feet on one and stacked the others on top. I use mine to store sweaters.
