Saving plants

Whenever I go to Lowes I always check the clearance rack in the back of the garden center. I was lucky a few weeks ago when I found this May Night Salvia and Apricot Delight Yarrow on sale for $2.00 each. They looked pretty bad when I bought them, but with a little TLC they are now thriving and I hope to plant them this weekend. Isn't it great to save a plant and save some money too!

Wishing you all a great weekend!

That's a great tip and believe me I know my Lowe's plant clearance racks, too.
I can't tell you how many shrubs and perennials I've bought that way.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Donna, I used to love to buy clearance plants from Target but our Target closed down their plant section. Nice to know that Lowe's does the same thing! I'll go check things out soon!

Wow, what a deal! Once in a while I find some clearance plants and try to nurse them back to health. I better check out the nursery soon! Thanks for stopping by earlier! Have a great day!

I agree, I find some real keepers on the clearance cart and most just need a little trimming, some fresh soil and a good soaking...of course a little TLC never hurts either. Just found you through Brenda's blog and am your newest follower.

Hi Donna! I also like to check for plant sales at Lowes's. I recently bought 4 butterfly bushes for $4.97 a piece. I planted them yesterday and they look great. Can't wait till next spring when they will hopefully thrive and bloom. I honestly don't know why more stores don't do likewise.
