Good morning!

...and what a beautiful morning it is! We had rain last night and this morning the garden was happy. I took my coffee outside, fed the birds and swept the patio and walkways. Thank heavens for the rain to cool temperatures a bit and to water our thirsty gardens.

And speaking of gardens, we've been having a bumper crop of tomatoes and so not to let any go to waste I made tomato sauce and froze some last week, and this week I will can some tomato juice. We're still enjoying those wonderful tomato sandwiches and tomato salads, too!

Enjoy your day!

I have to admit I am a little jealous to see all those tomatos. We weren't able to garden this summer and I miss it.
So glad you have plenty to put awa with your crop.
The garden look refreshed from the rain you received. I hope that helps with the heat too!

Goodmorning Donna,
we had a marvelous rain last night - I could have done a dance I was so happy! Everything looks so much better after the rain! Love your Dachsund's expressions - they are very expressive dogs! We have one little old lady - she adores attention!
Hope you have a great week,

Good afternoon, Donna! Your tomatoes look so wonderful! I was disappointed by my tomatoes this year ..they did not do well for some reason. My banana peppers and eggplants are doing very well, however, and I have been enjoying them. My basil is growing extra well so I also preserving it for the winter.

Donna,

How did you come up with the name Mourning Dove Cottage?

Oh my goodness, Donna, those tomatoes look sooooo yummy!!! And the sauce...could you please Fed Ex my share of ripe tomatoes AND some sauce? ;) Your garden looks so inviting, I want to be there right now. We don't have any big trees for shade so it's either light and hot here or it's DARK and not QUITE as hot. LOL

Donna, what a beautiful cottage Mourning Dove is. Your patio looks so inviting and lovely.
We only planted cherry tomatoes this year. But that's ok, my 9 year old granddaughter and I love them :)
I am happy to become a follower~~~

Donna, you know you are tempting me with your gorgeous tomatoes.

We have just about missed all of the rain. We had a short, but very welcome shower late Sunday afternoon. It is supposed to be another hot one today.
