The foxglove have always been a cottage garden favorite, and here at Mourning Dove Cottage, they are now in full bloom. I look forward to these beautiful freckled bell flowers every spring.
They seed freely when happy, preferring dapple shade and a light damp soil.
The hummingbirds and bees love them.
A cottage garden tradition.

It looks fabulous! Can't wait for my foxglove (as well as all my other plants) to grow and blossom! We're a bit behind with our spring here in Washington.

These are one of my true cottage garden favorites. But I don't tend to have much luck with them. Perhaps our soil here is too well-draining for them to keep the moisture you describe.

Donna, Foxglove is a favorite in our family. I just bought a foxglove plant this weekend. I'm going to plant it in the next few days! Just love it!
I think they are beautiful, but I don't have much luck with them.
The midwest weather must be too harsh for them.
Donna, I have always wanted foxgloves. Yours are gorgeous.
Beautiful!
Wonder if they'll grow here...

They are gorgeous. I love them but so far have not been able to get them to come back every year. What a view you have to greet you. Have a wonderful day.

I adore foxgloves! Our dry air here in the desert is not all that good for them but I can get a few blooms occasionally. Lucky you. Mimi
My very favorite cottage garden plant! I can grow them but they don't reseed, you are lucky. They are so magical.
They are beautiful! I was going to buy some this year from Lowe's and the employee told me they only bloom every other year...is that true? I guess you could plant some this year and some next year and have plants every year that way. Is that what you did?
They are beautiful, Donna! Mine didn't come back this year and I'm missing them. Enjoy!
I will have to plant some of these, so pretty and very cottage garden. Your garden is so pretty all your plants and cute garden art!
