Spring has sprung, it's the most wonderful time of year, but, unfortunately with it comes the dreaded......POLLEN. It filters through the air and covers everything with a yellowish green layer of dust for weeks. Oh yes.
But now the pollen is almost over and there is a lot of cleaning to be done on the back porch at Mourning Dove Cottage. Sweeping, scrubbing, and washing pillows and cushions.
You see......we tend to live on the back porch all summer long.
Otis and Riley have already found their comfortable spots.
We've had some early morning rain today and it's overcast, but by tomorrow, hopefully we can enjoy a warm sunny day on the back porch.....a very clean back porch.

Your back porch looks so inviting. Love the teapots and the birdhouse in one of your previous posts and I'd love to meet your roses too.
I am sure that your back porch is very charming. Your little friends don't seem to care about the pollen...the have already staked out their territory.
The pollen is the only downside to all of these beautiful flowers and trees.
The guys look quite content despite the pollen.
I've been sweeping and cleaning it up for three weeks now!

We are still in the throws of pollen here in this part of NC...I am looking forward to cleaing our porches soon. Your porch looks like the perfect place to while away hours.
Hugs,
Penny
Your little guys are so cute Donna. Pollen doesn't start here until may...glad you are almost thru the worst of it.

Love your back porch and love your furbabies. Not so much the pollen ~ achooo ;-)
What a beautiful porch, I'd love to sit out there, relax and read a good book!
It's so inviting...I want to come and hang out with Otis and Riley and drink sweet tea and watch the birds and butterflies and feel the breeze...

I truly understand. I just did this with our porches, and while I don't have dogs any longer or cushions, they were a mess! But what fun to have a porch, and Otis and Riley obviously agree.
XO,
Sheila :-)
We have that awful yellow-green Pollen too! Love your porch, probably as much as Otis and Riley seem too :)!
Spring cleaning is a chore but I'm glad its here! Your porch is so comfy and cozy looking bet you are enjoying coffee out there!
There is NOTTHING like a clean porch, ready to be social on :) We got to take the plastic off of our swings this week, so, soon we'll be having a cup of tea on our porches (give it a couple of weeks!!)
Enjoy your day Donna!!
I've still got this to do. Hopefully, I will get some done this Saturday. I would love to have Easter breakfast in our sunroom.
You're so smart, Donna.
