A new old book

I picked this book up at the library last week for $1.00. It was an old book they were getting rid of, but a new one for me. "The Golden Straw" by Catherine Cookson. Off to a good start. I find myself reading more now that it gets dark early in the evenings. It's nice to curl up with a book.

I love Catherine Cookson books. Many of her stories are based upon her own life and that of her mother.
I hope you enjoy it.

I'll have to look for it. I do love reading, especially in front of the fireplace on a rainy evening. Love all your projects you've been working on. That rooster tray is adorable. Congrats on all that money that was raised. Such a great cause. Mimi

I have a big stack of books by my chair that I bought on sale or at flea markets, that I am beginning to read. This looks like a good one to add to my library list.
