A little bit of color

Slowly, our leaves are turning.

I took Otis and Riley for a walk this morning (with camera in hand) hoping to get some pictures of the colored leaves.

We found a little bit of color here and there.

This tree was beautiful!

This is our street (below) and as you can see there is not a lot of color going on....

but it was an absolutely gorgeous day here at Mourning Dove Cottage.

Enjoy your weekend!
Donna
and
Happy Halloween!

We reached our peak this past week. So now everything is golden, brown and russet...no more oranges, yellows or reds. But it is still beautiful.

I love your house!
Hugs,
Penny

Happy Halloween to you too. I'm waiting on pretty leaves so I can take a nice, leisurely country drive and snap photos.

Aren't these lovely pictures and the painting of the dogs is wonderful! We don't have any winter color here yet...it is always late in coming - it is supposed to rain tomorrow and that might help.(-:

Hi Donna, loved your photos, we've been reaching maximum color here I think. By next weekend I'm betting a lot of leaves will just be gone.

Had lots of pumpkin troubles here this week, we have very aggressive squirrels here, they always go after my plants and pumpkins. I spray with hot pepper wax but sometimes even that doesn't work...Anyway, they have eaten or just plain ripped apart most of my pumpkins, caught one little guy this morning in the act. Bad year for pumpkins here. LOL

We had a dry summer so our Fall is not as pretty as usual, but I love what we do have and I Love Fall! Happy Halloween!!!

OH Donnna! What a great picture...reminds me of George Rodrigue's Blue Dog pictures!
Your leaves are turning so pretty...we got a lot of wind the other day, so all of our pretty leaves are gone...waiting for the next batch of leaves to turn. Have a great week!
