What's blooming?

verbena

Despite the scorching hot sun and very little rain, we still have some blooms in the garden.

black-eyed-susans, impatiens, verbena

begonias

And, of course, the Crape Myrtle are blooming and beautiful.

What do you have blooming?

Not much, sadly. The geraniums are putting out a few blooms. The vines are doing a little better. Mostly I have the old tried and true portulaca and purslane blooming. My black-eyed susans have kind of piddled out.

Donna, your flowers look beautiful! I've got some phlox, Heliotrope, impatiens, dianthus, petunias, hostas and a hanging geranium blooming at the moment. I water almost every night though! The crape myrtles in the center courtyard look so beautiful here too!

It's amazingly hot here too. We had a heat index of 112 yesterday and it's supposed to be even hotter today. I have wave petunias, knock out roses, impatiens, glads, black eyed susan, and zinnias. My cone flowers are played out.

Hey Donna, your flowers are so pretty. I got my bottles at Hobby Lobby. I eventually want a bottle tree, but am still looking for the stand. They were 1/2 price when I bought them $2.50 is what I paid??? Have a great day!

Your flowers look very pretty.
I'm so thankful for the crape myrtles. They are putting on the best show in my yard right now. I also have limelight hydrangeas, black eyed susans, zinnias, lantana and impatiens. I have a giant moon vine without any blooms, a hanging basket that just got thrown in the trash and 3 zucchini plants that bloom, but refuse to produce squash. Have you ever heard of not being able to grow a zucchini? :) Good thing I enjoy gardening as it can be a challenge.

I'd have to say that the black-eyed suzans are my favorite! August is the best time for blooming flowers (if you've been a good water-er!!)

Beautiful flowers dear Donna.;) We had a very warm July but August is very unstable and rainy, thus a lot of bloom is everywhere.;)
Have a lovely week,
xo
