Toisnot Lake

Toisnot park and lake is not far from our house ~
so hubby and I got up early this morning,
stopped by Starbucks and then drove over to the lake.

It's a beautiful park for picnicking ~ or maybe just sitting under a big shade tree reading your favorite book. There are nature trails if you like, a playground for the kids, and fishing too.

I came to feed the ducks.

Oh, yes, they knew I had bread ~

even the ones in the lake.

Pretty ones and not so pretty ones.

They all had their fair share of bread, I thought, except for one little guy who scurried up the hill from the lake just as fast as he could, came right over to me, looked at me, and I had just thrown the last piece of bread away. Poor baby. Maybe I should have brought more bread. Maybe next time.

We enjoyed the morning by the lake, the company of the ducks, and a good cup of coffee.

A good way to start the day, I think.

When my kids were little we used to love to feed the ducks. You've inspired me to go feed them again, with or without the grandkids. Mimi

Sounds like a perfect way to start the day. I used to take my daughter to feed ducks when she was little. We quit when they starting chasing us for more bread after we ran out. haha

Have a wonderful week.

Those ducks are a cute bunch of scavengers! :) Toisnot Lake looks like a very pretty place to visit Donna.
