We love feeding the hummingbirds here at Mourning Dove Cottage.
When I went to fill the feeder the other day I noticed a small leak on the bottom part of the feeder and, needless to say, there was sticky sugar water all over the back porch ~ might I add, a lot of little honey bees flying around too.
Definitely time to buy a new feeder.
I was happy to find this pretty new hummingbird feeder at the garden center.
It looks like it's hand painted and so colorful.
Notice on the photo in the background the mourning dove sitting on her nest. This is the second mama dove that nested in that same nest. It will be fun, once again to watch from my kitchen window, a new mama dove and her babies ~ we've had quite a few this spring. Right now there's another dove nesting in the jasmine over the front door.
We enjoy keeping the birds happy here at Mourning Dove Cottage.

Donna, I have to tell you that every single time I see a dove now, I think of you! :-)
Love your hummer feeder. It does look like it's painted. Very cute, indeed!

That is a beautiful hummingbird feeder!
Happy birds here also, mostly because this is the first summer we're put up a feeder.
Lots of trees on this small lot to nest in. No hummers daily....so sad.
Never saw a feeder like your new one...very pretty.
How cute! Your herb garden is awesome. Mimi
Hi Donna! I thought you had painted the hummingbird feeder before I read your post-it is really pretty! I love to hear about your Mourning Doves, we have some here too but not nests.
Love your hummingbird feeder Donna, it is so pretty. Have a great weekend.
