Blue

Being a lover of red (as you know that's my favorite color),
I'm noticing how much blue I have in the garden, in the yard and on the porch. I guess subconsciously blue was chosen for a reason, maybe for it's calming effect, it's coolness or maybe a peacefulness that it brings.

Or maybe it's because I have too much red going on inside the house.

In some cultures blue is significant in religious beliefs,

bringing peace,

or even believed to keep the bad spirits away.

So even though I don't think of myself as a blue person,

I guess I am.

Enjoy your weekend!
Donna

I guess you won't be surprised when I say I am a lover of blue. I do think of it as a peaceful color that goes well with many other pretty colors.
I enjoyed seeing all of your blue things today.

I've come to realize that I must like blue much more than I thought I did. I've always said that pink is my favorite color but I sure do have alot of blue around my house!

It is very soothing!

I love red too Donna, and have lots inside my home.
The blue is lovely in the garden and I often choose that colour for flowers. I had never thought of it before, but I think you are right, it is cool and calming. love your pictures. Have a good weekend.!

When I was younger green was my favorite color and now that I'm older blue is my new favorite! It is calming and cool. It blends so well in the garden but I've now brought more blue into my decorating in the house too! I guess we all go through different stages in our lives. Have a great weekend!

Those are some lovey blues, I too have blue outside; all my pots are blue and the garden cushions as well.
Have a lovely weekend dear Donna,

What fun! I love blue too, it's my favorite color, but you'd never guess that from looking inside my house! I too have most of my blue in flowers all around outside. I've added some blue transferward & colbalt blue glasses in the dining room, but that is it! Kind of funny :)
Have a nice weekend Donna!

I feel the same way...I'm not a blue person, but suddenly I notice I have beautiful touches of blue here and there, which make a striking contrast to my surroundings. Such a lovely blog you have. It feels so peaceful!
