Sunny and a bit warmer

With temperatures a bit warmer today, Otis and Riley enjoyed being outside this morning in the back yard playing, sniffing around for Mr. Squirrel, and running after the birds.

Hubby and I decided to take a walk downtown around noon time since it was such a nice day and we thought we'd get some lunch and then stop by the library.

We had lunch at Sweet Maria's Bistro. A wonderful little place downtown.

We enjoyed our chicken salad sandwiches,

and a really good cup of coffee, and of course, a dark chocolate brownie with cream cheese icing. Yum!

We continued on our walk, and around the corner we came to Park Place. We've never been inside this shop, so we decided to stop. It's a fabulous big victorian house.

What a great shop filled with unique home furnishings and gifts. I didn't buy anything, but I plan to stop back again.

We met our final destination ~ the library ~ about a block away. It was so nice to spend a few hours browsing and reading and just relaxing in the quiet.

The sun was still warm on our way home. What a nice day for a walk.

That sounds like a perfect day to me and how nice that it is all within walking distance. I clicked on the picture inside the shop to check it out closer. The rug with the pumpkin on it is gorgeous.

Lovely pictures and words!
I so enjoyed seeing the deep blue of the NC sky, I recall that blue so well. The sky is rarely that colour here, it is always light blue.

Hi Donna
Looks like you had a lovely day. Right now the sun is rising and painting the sky shades of red and pink. Hope you got to see it!
