Window boxes

Window boxes can add so much charm to a house and the nice thing is, they can be changed as the seasons change. Galen made two boxes for our front windows and I couldn't wait to get them up on Saturday.

Painting first, with a coat of white primer, and then the color of choice, which in our case is sage green to match the front door and shutters.

Otis decides to sit on the drop cloth as close to the project as possible.

My two helpers, always right there.

And here is the finished window box, with flowers. I just took the photo this morning. The plantings are still adapting but soon the boxes will be filled with color.

I'm looking forward to changing them for late fall and winter.

Thank you, Galen, for making these.

Donna I'm a huge fan of window boxes. I have wrought iron ones that you put the coconut fiber in. I haven't put them up at the new house yet, but you have reminded me I need to do that! Good job Galen!!

Your window boxes are wonderful! I can't wait to see pictures this fall.

It's so nice that your husband has the know how, and the tools, to tackle such projects. Yay Galen!
