Painting

"The Mourning Dove", 4x6, acrylic

My latest painting, The Mourning Dove, inspired by all the dove that live here at Mourning Dove Cottage.

And......the beginning of a new painting of my old garden table in the back yard. Here is a photo (to the right) ~

Here is the start.

I love your dove, he is so beautiful. I hope you had a fun day at the festival and sold a lot.

Beautiful. I look forward to have - one day - enough spare time to paint again.;))
Hope your 4th of July in Raleigh was lovely.

So lovely, Donna - the way that you captured the light reflecting off its feathers - so life-like! You know me ... I love step-by-step painting!! Keep 'em coming! Can't wait to see this new one come to fruition!! :)

Wow! You are talented. But I still miss the old "Orange" mug banner... it brightened up the whole place.

Beautiful painting Donna. I think the Dove were very smart to choose an artists garden as their home. It's early in the morning, and I can hear the Dove cooing outside my studio window :-) Your garden table will make a gorgeous painting too!
