Lunch downtown

Galen was spending some time at the library the other day and suggested we have lunch downtown.

Wonderful, I said.

Have I ever showed you our library? It's a beautiful old building.

We walked from the library to the Sugar Plum Shoppe downtown to get our lunch.

This is the Edna Boykin Cultural Center, across the street from the Sugar Plum Shoppe.

Our boxed lunches from the Sugar Plum Shoppe included a deviled egg and dessert along with a sandwich and chips. We carried them back to the library lawn and sat under a big shade tree.

Did I mention, our library has a rose garden.

It was nice to have a picnic lunch downtown with my hubby, something we don't do very often.

Be sure to take time out to smell the roses, and have a picnic lunch too! Bon Appetit!

Check my etsy shop for this bon appetit painting and some other picnic and summer time fun items.

Now isn't that the most relaxing lunch? We just love boxed lunches...not many of those anymore!
Great sign by the roses!! They are too tempting by many people obviously!!

Your town looks charming. How nice to be able to order a box lunch and enjoy it near the beautiful rose garden.

Gee, wonder what they do to their roses? Not a single yellow leaf or blackspot in sight. No resemblance at all to my sickly looking plants.

Impromptu lunches with Hubby...aren't they the BEST!
