Little Birds
One little bird with lovely feathers blue
Sat beside another one. Then there were two.
Two little birds singing in the tree
Another came to join them. Then there were three.
Three little birds wishing there were more
Along came another bird. Then there were four.
Four little birds glad to be alive,
Found another lonely friend.

Four little birds glad to be alive,
Found another lonely friend.
Then there were five.
Five little birds just as happy as can be
Five little birds singing songs for you and me.
I've been painting little birds and attaching them to branches. I made a base of concrete, then inserted a twig, added a little moss and paint, and I have a tree full of birds.
This is a project Galen and I have been working on for the 4-H Artisans Show coming up in March. Galen cuts all the little birds out of wood, then carves them into shape to give them some character.
And then he came up with an owl! Isn't he cute. He's waiting for some paint.

Hi Donna
What a cute idea! They would looks so whimsical on a windowsill --I'll check your ETSY store
Hi Donna,
Your little birds are precious and each one has a personality. I think you should list them on ETSY as they will be great for Spring gardens. How fun that you and your husband work on art projects together. I visited your folk art website and love it. You are a very talented pair of "lovebirds".
Seems like everyone is dreaming of Spring - lucky me living in Southern California - our roses have been cut back , however, we have cold weather flowers such as Rnunculus and Primroses and lots of bulbs blooming.
Let me know if you put your birds on ETSY as I would like to buy the blue birds for my garden.
Have a lovely week,
Blessings,
Erin
